Apple just released their past quarter financial results, and the numbers look really good. In the 3 months ending June 30th, Apple has managed to :
- ship 1,764,000 Macs (a new company record by more than 150,000 computers)
- sell 9,815,000 iPods (well over 100,000 per day)
- gain US$5.41 billion in revenue and net quarterly profit of US$818 million
Oh, and those iPhones? We know AT&T managed to activate 140,000 iPhones on June 29th and 30th. It turns out, that was just slightly more than half of all iPhones sold. Apple managed to shift 270,000 iPhones in the 30 hours — that’s over 9,000 iPhones an hour when you consider not all Apple Stores open 24 hours.
Apple projects to sell 1 million iPhones by end of September.
